Funeral services for Ruby Mathis Yarber, 84, of Baldwin, are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. today, June 13, at the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Campbell and Pastor Terry Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Yarber died Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born Sept. 6, 1929, in Jackson County, she was a daughter of the late Elbert and Ollie Umbehant Mathis. In addition to her parents, Ruby was also preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, James Bellamy and Penn Moss.

Ruby was retired from Ethicon and was a member of Baldwin Baptist Church, where she was active in the Joy Club and her Sunday School Class. In her spare time, she enjoyed collecting dolls and giving them makeovers.

Survivors include her sisters, Kathleen Bellamy and Hazel Moss, both of Baldwin; nieces, Vickie Fowler of Baldwin, Diann (Steve) Spruill of Toccoa, and Robin (David) Sanders of Baldwin; five great-nieces, two great-great-nieces, and three great-great-nephews.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Baldwin Baptist Church, 200 Shore St., Baldwin.
